L’atelier de l’Arsenal
As the winning project of the Réinventer la Seine (Reinventing the Seine) competition, L’Atelier de l’Arsenal was a project for the creation of a new cultural destination and creative hub.
Manifesto managed the artistic and cultural program of this third place on the banks of the Seine. As a performance hall, an exhibition center, fablab, café/restaurant and community day center, L’Atelier de l’Arsenal offered a varied program in shared, modular spaces.
As part of the team including REI Habitat, Icade, SO-IL, Dream, WoMa, YCPB and Atelier Georges, Manifesto reached out to local partners (Institut du Monde Arabe, Association Aurore, Fondation Tara Expéditions) to provide young creative professionals with a new scene.
Manifesto masterminded the first edition of the Mazas Festival on June 23 and 24, 2018, kicking off the preparatory work for this project. A diverse audience contributed to the customization of artwork by Mattia Paco Rizzi, took part in family workshops organized with the IMA, created UFOs (Unidentified Floating Objects) that were put to the test in a race in the port, watched a performance by the artist Laurent Derobert and danced to the beat of the drums of the batacuda group Drumbata.
The project was subsequently abandoned.
