Manifesto is supporting the artist Clara Rivault in the design and production of a work for Polycités in Bondy, as part of the “1 immeuble, 1 œuvre” (One building, one work) charter.

Celebrating the heritage of the Bondy forest and quoting the city’s motto, Clara Rivault has created the work Heureux sous son ombre (Happy under its shadow) in line with the city’s commitment to preserving nature in its urban landscape. Once a theater of legends, the Bondy foret is now a sanctuary of biodiversity and a vital green space that must be protected. The work imagines a fusion between landscapes and people, serving as a landmark similar to a sundial, where light creates a transient chromatic ballet. Using various woods from the Bondy forest such as hornbeam, maple, oak, alder, and reed, this stained glass piece combines tradition and modernity, uniting past and present in a contemporary and poetic creation.

About the artist:

Born in 1991, Clara Rivault is a resident at POUSH (Aubervilliers). She explores a range of complex traditional techniques related to ceramics and glass-making. She works with glass in various forms, gradually developing a unique technique of photographic transfers using eco-friendly ceramic inks, thus renewing the art of stained glass.
