To mark the 100th anniversary of WWI, the Verdun Memorial was renovated, a process which was warmly welcomed by veterans and the general public. The battlefield is also home to several other major memorials, including Fort Vaux, Fort Douaumont and the Douaumont ossuary.

These various landmarks created a confusing visitor experience; consequently, the authorities decided to create a joint management body (known as an EPCC). Between 2016-2017, Manifesto was asked to analyze the operations and expectations of all stakeholders, to highlight strengths and weaknesses and to provide tangible solutions which would be quick and easy to implement for the launch of this EPCC.
