Imagine Pleyel
A member of the artistic and cultural programming team for the Grand Paris Express, Manifesto has supported the Société du Grand Paris in devising and launching an international call for projects for the creation of a cultural and social innovation hub above the Saint-Denis Pleyel train station.
An emblematic landmark of the Grand Paris Express network, the Saint-Denis Pleyel station (designed by architect Kengo Kuma) is set to spearhead a new approach to city architecture, conceived as a user-centric ensemble with mixed activities. In a rapidly changing district where creativity, art and culture are coupled with quality of life and territorial development, the station will act as a new urban space and a catalyst for social ties. The station will thus host a 5 000 sq meters space for cultural and social innovation, spread across its four levels.
Between 2016 and 2021, Manifesto (a member of the artistic and cultural programming team) has been assisting the Société du Grand Paris in defining and moving this exceptional project forward. Inviting investors, cultural operators, innovation and commerce stakeholders to deliver such a facility, the call for projects IMAGINE PLEYEL was launched in December 2019.
