LaM - Lille Métropole Musée d'art moderne, d'art contemporain et d'art brut presents its modern art collection at the Bund One Art Museum in Shanghai. For the first time on an international scale, the exhibition brings together an exceptional body of work from the collection of Roger Dutilleul and Jean Masurel, who founded the LaM. In four chapters - ‘Amedeo Modigliani’, ‘Cubism’, ‘Painting and Dreams’ and ‘Expressive Colour’ - this exhibition explores the major artistic movements of the modern period, with a particular focus on Amedeo Modigliani. Featuring a group of 9 paintings and drawings by the artist, this is the largest presentation of works by Modigliani in China to date.

The exhibition is co-organised by LaM, Tix Media and Manifesto Expo, in collaboration with the Foundation for Art and Culture, and has been awarded the ‘Franco-Chinese Year of Cultural Tourism - 2024’ label by the French Embassy in China.
