Le Cèdre Bleu
Manifesto is part of the group led by Groupe Lamotte and Groupe Espace 2, appointed by the town of Sarcelles to develop a lively, inventive and socially inclusive eco-friendly community around a new 5-hectare public park that is going to open to the public for the first time.
Working closely with the team, particularly Courtoisie Urbaine, Manifesto is developing an artistic activation program to open the park to the general public and to creatives.
Manifesto has created a program of annual residencies with interwoven themes of dance and landscape. Every year, the residents (visual artists and dancers) will focus on a particular area or function of the park. These residencies will result in public presentations, coupled with an overview of the consultation process and communications about the project and its progress.
The agency is working to coordinate the launch of calls for proposals, manage the residencies and organize presentations, with a view to encouraging interaction between disciplines, dialogues between the various artists, links with the urban landscaping project and overall consistency within the consultation process.
Partnerships with the town of Sarcelles and with local cultural and charitable associations will be developed throughout the activation program.
