The Cat Princess
Initiated and produced by Manifesto Immersive, The Cat Princess is an original art work by Nicolas Buffe, developed in co-production with Backlight.
Inspired by fairy tales, art history and manga, this immersive exhibition invites visitors of all ages to participate collectively in a cultural and playful adventure. The Cat Princess is an original creation by French artist Nicolas Buffe that showcases French cultural heritage, drawing on French history, history of art and architecture, as well as the tales of Charles Perrault. This experience also focuses on nature conservation, addressing the tension between technical progress and the preservation of our natural environment. The Cat Princess is the first project of a collection of immersive, participatory exhibition-adventures inspired by literature and historic settings, designed to entertain and educate families and friends alike.
This exhibition is designed for the general public and families, with a focus on play and interaction, calling upon visitors to engage first handedly with the content. A documentary exhibition completes the experience. The technology for this experience is based on the combination of physical and digital elements, where interactive 3D video projections (decor, characters, avatars) are coupled with decorative elements and prints (wallpaper, textiles, etc.) all drawn by the artist. The space estimated for this experience is of 600/700m², and the experience is designed to last 60 minutes.
The experiment is currently in the development stage, in partnership with the CNC and with the support of the City of Paris.
